1. Who is responsible

BareNakedCleaner.com is responsible for personal information collected through this website and during the provision of cleaning services.

2. Information collected

This may include your name, email, phone number, property address, postcode, booking preferences, cleaning instructions, account credentials, trusted-contact details, enquiry history and records needed for safety, consent and appointment management. Technical security records may include a protected hash derived from an internet address.

3. Why it is used

Information is used to respond to enquiries, administer accounts, arrange and perform bookings, take payment, maintain safety records, prevent misuse, resolve complaints, comply with legal obligations and protect legitimate business interests. Information is not sold.

4. Sensitive information

Because of the nature of the service, information you submit could reveal private matters. Please provide only what is necessary. Consent and safety records are retained to demonstrate boundaries and protect both customer and cleaner.

5. Lawful handling

Depending on the circumstances, information is handled because it is needed to take steps toward or perform a service contract, meet a legal obligation, pursue legitimate interests such as safety and record keeping, or because you have given valid consent. You may withdraw consent where consent is the basis, although another lawful reason may still require limited records to be retained.

6. Storage and retention

Information is stored in the secured website database and hosting space. Enquiries that do not become bookings should normally be reviewed and deleted after 12 months. Completed booking, payment, consent and safety records should normally be reviewed after six years, unless a shorter or longer period is required for a complaint, legal obligation or safety reason. Password-reset codes expire after 24 hours.

7. Sharing

Information may be processed by the website and hosting providers used to run the service, and may be disclosed where required by law, to professional advisers, or where reasonably necessary to protect someone’s safety or legal rights. Only necessary information should be shared.

8. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict use of your information, object to certain processing, or receive portable information. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Requests may require reasonable identity verification.

9. Security

Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used, including encrypted web connections, password hashing, restricted owner access, validation of uploads and access controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

10. Contact and changes

Use the website enquiry form to raise a privacy request, clearly marking it “Privacy request”. This notice may be updated as the service changes; the effective date will be updated when material changes are made.

Owner action: Add a dedicated business contact email and postal contact before relying on this as the final privacy notice.
